Panel sounds

Regenerate with python3 scripts/generate-sounds.py. Current = exact replicas of public/panel.js at their real (quiet, gain 0.05–0.12) levels — turn the volume up. Proposed = candidates, rendered at comparable levels. Events that make no sound today: arm confirmed, armed, disarm success, wrong PIN, lockout, arm refused.

Keypad digit
Softer 'tock', 1 kHz, harmonics so it carries on a tablet speaker, no click.

01-key-press.wav
Backspace / clear
Same tock, lower pitch, so a correction sounds different from an entry.

02-backspace.wav
Tap 'Yes, arm'
Rising two-note: something started.

03-arm-confirmed.wav
Exit delay running
Slow beep each second, then 2/s near the end (demo: 4 slow + 6 fast).

04-exit-delay-countdown.wav
Door opens while arming
Two-note ding-dong, falling: 'noted, you're leaving'.

05-door-open-during-exit-delay.wav
Exit delay done, now ARMED
Falling three notes: locked.

06-armed.wav
Arm refused — a door is open
Three low short beeps: problem, fix it.

07-arm-blocked-door-open.wav
Entry delay (enter PIN)
Double beep each second, doubling in rate at the end (demo: 4 slow + 6 fast). More urgent than the exit delay on purpose.

08-entry-delay-countdown.wav
Correct PIN, disarmed
Rising major arpeggio: welcome.

09-disarm-success.wav
Wrong PIN
Two low flat notes, same soft timbre as the rest. Same for duress — duress must never sound different.

10-wrong-pin.wav
Too many attempts, locked out
Three slower, lower notes.

11-lockout.wav
ALARM, option A
Rising/falling wail, continuous.

12-alarm-A-wail.wav
ALARM, option C
Fast rising yelp: most urgent, harshest.

13-alarm-C-yelp.wav
ALARM, option D
Classic security-panel piezo beeps (~2.9 kHz), cuts through a room.

14-alarm-D-piezo-pulse.wav
ALARM, option E
Hi-lo two-tone in short pulses: between A and C.

15-alarm-E-gated-hi-lo.wav
ALARM, E1: lower
E with lower, less shrill pitches (800/1100 Hz).

16-alarm-E1-lower.wav
ALARM, E2: slower
E slower and rounder (0.35 s on).

17-alarm-E2-slower.wav
ALARM, E3: rising phrase
Three rising notes, then a pause, repeating.

18-alarm-E3-rising-phrase.wav
ALARM, E4: pure tones
E with pure sine tones, no buzz.
